ALDEN ZEITZ (MANAGER RENEWABLE ENERGY SERVICES)
Alden is responsible for the day to day operations of the two 10.5 MW wind projects and 140 kW solar array owned and operated by Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative. He has over 29 years of experience in the wind industry to include: operations and maintenance, construction, inspection and commissioning of a number of different platforms of wind turbine generators and related infrastructure. He is responsible for implementation of the Wind Energy & Turbine Technology training program at Iowa Lakes Community College and has been involved with a number of Operations, Maintenance and Safety related committees and subcommittees with the American Wind Energy Association / Clean Power Association. He was also lead writer for the safety section of the UVIG O&M Users Group Wind Operating Practices Guidebook. Alden is currently chair of the Clean Power Association Wind Workforce Standards Committee and is currently working with a team on developing a credentialed training program for wind technicians. Additionally, Alden’s current responsibilities include working with ILEC members that are interested in or are installing distributive generation.
