Trevor Taylor, P.E. M.ASCE, is a Senior Specialist and global seismic (earthquake) engineering and structural building code subject matter expert with Vestas. He has specialized in providing load and structural solutions for utility-scale wind turbine towers and foundations since 2008, including facilitating permit compliance for projects across the globe in accordance with the provisions of over 100 national seismic design codes and standards. He supports structural codes and standards development efforts with ACP, CSA, and other national standards organizations.
Prior to joining Vestas, Mr. Taylor worked for seven years as a bridge and structures design engineer and project manager in Washington State and Glasgow, Scotland - with six of those years dedicated to the design and construction of the Central LINK Beacon Hill Station and Tunnel in Seattle, a Finalist project for the 2010 American Society of Civil Engineer's "Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA)" award He is currently registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in Oregon and Washington. Mr. Taylor and his family reside in the Portland, Oregon, metro area.
